Job Overview: As the Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, responsible for a broad spectrum of accounting tasks and financial planning & analysis (FP&A). You will manage bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in FP&A, providing insights that drive business decisions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and business-focused individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and manage financial models to support business planning and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and scenario planning. - Support budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial strategies.
Bookkeeping:
- Manage sales tax filings and coordinate with external providers for income tax filings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and complete monthly reporting packages as required by management.
Payroll:
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive payroll reports.
- Assist in managing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payroll.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and procedures.
Accounts Payable:
- Process rent and facility payments.
- Calculate and maintain monthly supplier statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to all vendors. Employee Management:
- Conduct background checks for all new hires.
- Assist in preparing and managing employment contracts.
- Oversee payroll onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Support all payroll accounting functions.
Other Duties:
- Manage inventory processes and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Handle accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections.
Job Qualifications & Skill Sets: Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word/Excel.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
- Ownership of KPIs with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Quick Books.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with Net Suite.
- CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Power BI.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Experience in external reporting, FP&A, and KPI management.
