We are looking for a highly qualified corporate attorney for the Global Legal Organization of Johnson & Johnson – Med Tech Companies in the Southern Cluster of Latin America. The successful candidate will serve from our offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as an in-house counsel and legal business partner, handle complex legal matters and projects, ensure the legality of commercial transactions, advise our company on legal rights and duties, and safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company follows law guidelines and upholds the highest levels of integrity and ethical standards, within the relevant territories.

The Legal Manager will be responsible for:

• Providing advice on private and public commercial contracting, including public tenders, and other legal areas, including competition law, employment law, corporate law, health regulations and other related topics.
• Contract drafting and supporting negotiation processes.
• Drafting corporate minutes, including board resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate documents.
• Supporting mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
• Ensuring compliance with our Code of Business Conduct and relevant corporate policies.
• Researching and evaluating different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, offering proactive advice on possible legal issues, and applying effective risk management techniques.
• Communicating and dealing with external parties (regulators, outside counsel, public authorities, etc.), in a compliant and ethical manner, creating relations of trust.
• Providing legislative updates and following up on new legislation.
• Giving guidance to employees on day-to-day legal matters and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
• Representing the company at legal proceedings (administrative bodies, courts, etc.).

Qualifications

• Law degree.
• License to practice Law in Argentina in good standing.
• 7 – 10 years of relevant experience in the corporate sector industry or law firms.
• Strong working knowledge in English.
• Strong business orientation.
• Comprehension of the influences of the external environment on a corporation.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information.
• Ability to operate and resolve routine legal matters without supervision.
• Analytical abilities and strong attention to details.
