The Role
// We are looking for a Senior Front-End Javascript developer with experience in core web technologies and modern Java Script frameworks such as Vue to work as part of our highly successful Justride team. Our platform primarily uses Vue, with some legacy code in Angular.

The Justride team is responsible for the development and maintenance of several web applications used by customers of the Justride platform. These platforms combined currently process over $1 billion in transactions a year. With these kinds of numbers, security and fraud mitigation are paramount to our success.

We ensure high standards through comprehensive end-to-end and unit testing, as well as refactoring to ensure we work to the latest standards and best practices.

We work as part of a cross-discipline team that delivers robust and reusable components originating from product requirements through UX, design, development, and quality assurance. We are looking for a proactive person to join the team and actively contribute to code reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing, mentoring and technical road-mapping.

Compensation

About You

• A good command of the English language is required for this role, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English
  
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, Java Script, and Type Script, with experience in ECMAScript and other transpilers
  
• Skilled in using Java Script component frameworks like Vue and Angular
  
• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and usability, including W3C standards and WCAG 2.2
  
• Experienced with client-side bundlers such as Webpack, Rollup, and Vite
  
• Led the delivery of complex, innovative solutions in fast-paced environments, adapting to changing priorities
  
• Committed to mentoring front-end engineers, helping them grow their skills and become more effective
  
• Skilled in making strategic decisions and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  
• Approachable, patient, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
  
• Passionate about maintaining technical quality and user-centred design
  
• Champion of best practices across the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, automated testing, and operations
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with hybrid web and mobile app development using Capacitor.JS, React Native
  
• Familiarity with native mobile technologies for both i OS and Android
  
• Experience migrating between Java Script frameworks, with some exposure to other modern programming or scripting languages like Java, Kotlin, or Python
