OST's Headquarters is in Miami, Florida, but our employees work remotely worldwide. Our 3 main locations are Miami, Mexico City, Mexico, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are looking for talented software experts to join our team near one of our three locations.

About the Role: As a Senior QA at One Seven, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team, assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.

Onboarding: For the first few months, this candidate will be required to work in the office 2-3 times a week with the CEO and Engineering lead for faster onboarding. After a few months, a more hybrid approach will be accepted.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated).
• Collaborate with the project team to understand product changes and QA testing requirements to deal with issues/defects in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining organized task management, ensuring all bugs are logged and tracked. Identify, log, and track bugs and other issues.
• Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, and system testing.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications
• Collaborate with product teams and project managers to define and prioritize test scenarios
• Document and maintain test processes and procedures
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues
• Analyze test results and identify areas of improvement
• Maintain quality standards and make sure that all products meet customer expectations

Qualifications:

• Intermediate English level (important)
• 2+ years of experience working in QA positions
• Strong mentoring skills and leadership skills
• Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and solve problems
• Team player, willing to jump outside of their role to help the greater team.
• Ability to research as you work
• Ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment
• The desire to contribute to a growing, dynamic team and help shape process, practice, and operations
• You will need to provide your own workspace with reliable Internet service
• Agile + Scrum Methodology knowledge
• You are passionate about the startup environment and eager to learn.
• You have a keen eye for detail and excel in documentation.
• You are highly organized and proficient in task management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with test automation platforms, systems, and tools is a plus (Playwright, Cypress JMeter, Postman, K6, etc.)
• Knowledge of bug tracking and issue management tools (Click-Up, Jira, Linear, etc.)
• Experience with test case management tools is a plus (Test Rail, Test Lodge, Qase, etc.)
• Experience with source control systems (Git, Git Hub, Git Lab, etc.)
• Experience with Dev Ops tools (Github Actions, CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.)
• Having an ISTQB Certificate is a plus.
• The ability to write, read, and understand code (Python, Typescript, Javascript, SQL, and others) is a plus.
• Experience with API testing
• Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases
• Knowledge of bug tracking and issue management tools
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Benefits/Compensation:

• Hybrid - occasionally a few times a week in the office and the rest remote
• Contract-based employment
• Starting at $2000 - $2500 depending on qualifications
• There are currently NO formal benefits packages available (health insurance, retirement plans).
• Trial period for 3 months after which we will reevaluate the contract
