- Full time - Term Contract (temporary up to 2 Feb 2025)
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Orthopaedics team as a Orthopaedic Surgery Registrar, where you will be responsible for:
- The Orthopaedic Registrar will contribute to the provision of clinical services to WCHN inpatients and outpatients under Consultant supervision the Orthopaedic Registrar will demonstrate a commitment to clinical teaching and participate in associated research projects.
- The Registrar will participate in the on call roster. This is shared between the fellow and 4 registrars.
- The Registrar will be required to operate a Fluoroscope if licencing can be obtained.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
- Minimum 4 years satisfactory experience as an Intern/Resident Medical Officer/Registrar in a recognised teaching hospital.
- Extensive clinical experience and competence in the practice of Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
- Significant experience with teaching and research programs.
