Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while playing a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Match invoices with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process electronic payments and check runs.
Reconcile vendor statements and handle inquiries from vendors.
Assist with month-end closing by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are recorded.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar finance role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
Experience in the travel or hospitality industry is an advantage but not required.
