Morphett Vale Foodland is on the lookout for a friendly and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Checkout Operator. This vital role is at the forefront of our customer service, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions at the checkout.
Role Highlights:
Customer Service Excellence: Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, creating a positive shopping experience.
Efficient Transactions: Process purchases accurately and promptly, handling cash and electronic payments.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and product locations to assist customers effectively.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions with precision.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, maintaining a neat and organized checkout area.
- Provide assistance to customers with inquiries, product codes, and payment methods.
- Monitor and resolve any issues with transactions or pricing discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak shopping hours.
- Adherence to cash handling and security procedures.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: Up to $34.45 per hour
