Role Profile
Our customers across the Maritime Industry, ranging from Shipping, Finance, Insurance to Fortune 500 companies, and we are looking for a Country Sales Manager - Australasia to join the team and play a key role in our success in 2024 and beyond.
The Country Sales Manager will develop and expand critical relationships as we launch new products and expand our services to customers and prospects worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity to employ your solutions selling experience in a B2B environment where you can gain a breadth of knowledge and develop your skills within a dynamic and challenging environment.
The successful candidate will be ambitious, results driven, resilient and resourceful. The Country Sales Manager is accountable for growing revenue for the Lloyd’s List Intelligence portfolio within Australasia region. In this role, you will be responsible for devising and implementing the sales strategy and meeting revenue targets.
This is a full-time permanent role reporting into the Head of Sales - SEA, South Korea, South Asia & ANZ. This is an individual contributor new business development sales role. This role is working remotely in Australia and the ideal person will be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering results through new business outbound hunting and prospecting, to develop relationships with clients
- Managing key existing customers in Australia and New Zealand through relationship management, retention, cross selling, and upselling
- Defining and delivering a strategic sales plan, managing a robust pipeline, and preparing accurate sales forecasts, new growth ideas and contingency plan to achieve the revenue targets
- Partnering with internal support teams throughout the deal lifecycle, from scoping custom projects to managing client deliverables
- Provide product feedback and support in concept development for the market
- Presenting detailed sales proposals to potential clients via F2F and online product demonstrations
- Taking a consultative sales approach and own the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals
- Consistently exceeding OKRs, meetings, pipeline, win rate, retention rate monthly and quarterly
- Working collaboratively with Customer Success Team to ensure new clients are on-boarded smoothly
- Developing your understanding of Lloyd’s List Intelligence proposition, our competitors, and clients to enable maximised sales and revenue generation
- Conducting ongoing market and industry analysis. Identify marketplace trends and potential product development avenues to produce revenue growth

- Attendance at networking and marketing events, with a desire to expand your network within region and amplify the Lloyd’s List Intelligence brand within the market
- Some travel may be required
What we are looking for:
Essential
- At least 7 years’ experience in B2B business development practiced in value based selling
- Previous experience selling solutions to multiple markets, with experience in Australasia region
- Proven experience in dealing with senior management in multi-national companies through a complex sale cycle
- Thorough understanding and execution of an end-to-end sales process with a grasp on sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN etc
- Positive Impact and Influence – able to manage internal and external relationships and adapt the approach as needed
- Analysis and Decision Making – can identify patterns in data, identify potential areas of focus and ability to make autonomous decisions on priorities on a day-to-day basis
- Teamwork and Collaboration – can work across different levels of seniority, different cultures and languages and as part of a team
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ambitious, highly motivated and competitive individual who is results driven

- A hard working, accountable and resilient individual
- A proven track record, selling Saa S solutions and data intelligence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, constantly overcoming obstacles
Desirable
- Experience using Salesforce
- Previous experience selling APIs, platforms or similar
- A degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline or related experience
