Your opportunity

Our tree care team is seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake all aspects of arboricultural works. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to learn about various aspects of arboriculture, including tree health assessment, tree pruning techniques, risk management and sustainable urban vegetation practices. You will be required to be adaptable and flexible in all aspects of Parks and Conservation which may include horticultural, arboriculture, landscaping trade services as well as general grounds maintenance services delivered across Redlands Coast.

Guided by our Values , you will:
Deliver highly skilled and complex operational maintenance services, under limited supervision, in an efficient, effective and timely manner in line with Council Service Level Agreements and Council standards.

Provide accurate technical advice and knowledge in relation to maintenance services both within the team and to internal and external customers.

Follow Council's Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Protection requirements and pro-actively identify and report any potential or actual safety hazards / issues within the work environment.

Eligibility

Level 4

You'll have the ability to participate in the after-hours on-call roster, including remote response and site related operations over weekends and public holidays on a roster basis.

You'll have a Current Class 'C' Drivers Licence.

To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.

Level 5 (in addition to the Level 4 eligibility above)

You'll have a Minimum 3 years' experience in the relevant field and qualification.

You''s have a qualification in either of the following:
Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent.

Certificate III in Arboriculture.

Landscape Construction including a playground Inspector – Level 2 Certificate.

Conservation and Land Management, Fire Management or equivalent.
