DUTIES
· Prepare, Season and Cook food items from the menu. Ensure food are prepared and cooked with high-quality and consistency.
· Skills of various cooking methods such as grilling, roasting, steaming, poaching, deep frying and pan frying.
· Minimize food waste and oversee portion control.
· Coordinate with the restaurant manager and cooks to menu planning and creating new menu items including specials.
· Skills of working in a fast-paced environment. Ensure timely completion of all food preparation tasks.
· Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
· Collaborating with the other kitchen staffs and manager to enhance customer satisfaction.
· Oversee the cooks’ daily activities ensuring they follow recipes and standards for food preparation.
· Assign specific tasks and responsibilities to cooks ensuring kitchen operations are efficiently managed.
· Report equipment malfunctions in the kitchen or any other issues that arises to the restaurant manager.
· Interaction with guests to receive feedback, address special requests and ensure a positive dining experience.
· Train and supervise new kitchen staffs (if required)
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Minimum Qualification of Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery
· Minimum 2 years Full time experience in the similar field
· Full time Work rights required
· Personal Hygiene and presentation
