As a member of the Bureau’s Executive Team the successful candidate plays a key role in leading and influencing the strategic direction of the Bureau. They will support the CEO and Executive Team develop and deliver enterprise-wide strategy, ensuring that the Bureau’s strategic goals are enabled through appropriate governance arrangements and risk management, as well as the alignment of operational plans, individual performance plans and performance measurement systems.
The ideal candidate is an outstanding people leader in complex and dynamic operating environments, with a demonstrated capacity to lead a public sector enterprise services function consistent with the Bo M Strategy 2022-2027.
The Position
The Group Executive, Enterprise Services (GEES) and COO is a senior leadership role and member of the Bureau's executive team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the GEES will lead multidisciplinary teams of professionals across Australia ensuring enterprise functions support the achievement of the Bureau's strategic goals and objectives. The appointee will play a key role in leading and influencing the strategic direction of the Bureau of Meteorology.
