Maintenance Fitter

Kagome Foods Australia is a leading food processing company, specialising in the cultivation and production of high-quality fruit & vegetable and other food ingredients. We are currently seeking a skilled and trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical faults to minimize production downtime.
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Work autonomously or as part of a team in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
Key Requirements:
  • Trade qualification as a Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays, if required.
