About your new role
Tamworth Rural Referral hospital are excited to offer a New Graduate Physiotherapy position within their experienced team. You would gain diverse and exciting experience within varied caseloads, completing 5 rotations across this 1 year program.. As a new graduate you would be supported within this position and have the opportunity to upskill across multiple clinical areas within Tamworth Rural Referral hospital, including Orthopaedics, Fracture Clinic, Surgical and Medical wards, Critical Care, Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal. There is also opportunity for exposure to unique clinical areas/skills such as Maternity, Women’s health, Burns, Paediatrics, hands, amputee care and Hydrotherapy. You would further your skills to work autonomously but with the support of senior physiotherapists to treat diverse clinical presentations.
The Physiotherapy team is progressive and highly experienced with a strong focus on providing high quality, patient-centred physiotherapy care. They are very excited to welcome you to their team! You would be a valued member of the wider multi-disciplinary team, advocating for patients to ensure best outcomes. Education is embedded in this new graduate program participate ongoing education, supervision and competencies as part of the new graduate program.

The Physiotherapy department at Tamworth Rural Referral hospital is a dynamic and highly competent team, they are eager to welcome and support you in your new graduate year! The department is committed to providing a high-quality physiotherapy service, with a strong focus on evidence based practice.
There is a strong Physiotherapy network across the New England North West, with a wide range of skilled physiotherapists available to help with your learning. Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is a major referral hospital located in the northern region of the HNELHD. It has approximately 270 beds, the Critical Care Services is located in the new state of the art hospital complex and boasts an 8 bed ICU, 6 bed HDU, 8 bed CCU, Rehabilitation Unit, Orthopaedics, Hydrotherapy Pool, Musculoskeletal Outpatients and Fracture Clinic.

- Education is embedded in this role- engage in ongoing education/ training and actively participate in regular professional practice supervision and complete activities associated with supervision as negotiated with supervisor/senior clinician.
