About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to join our growing team and work alongside an experienced team and leader to deepen your payroll experience while providing you with the opportunity and support to thrive in a large complex mining / manufacturing environment.
As our Payroll Officer, you will be:
- Coordinating the end-to-end payroll process (incl. administrating new starters and terminations, processing legislated payments, coordinating ad hoc payments as required)
- Ensuring EA agreements/rate increases are accurately actioned within the payroll system and liaise with HR on interpretation of Agreement terms
- Reconciles payroll and PAYE payments and resolves discrepancies in relation to novated leasing, superannuation and other third-party payments
- Processing changes in our time and attendance system for our wage employees.
- Contribute to business and process improvement initiatives.
About you:
- You'll have 4+ years' experience in payroll along with knowledge of Payroll related legislation and compliance.
- Experience working in i Chris or Chris21 would be advantageous
- Experience working in Kronos would be advantageous
- You’ll be a wiz on Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to problem solve and provide solutions for complicated queries
- You’ll have an eagle eye for detail coupled with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Act with integrity and sound judgement
