Ready to apply your governance, planning and coordination skills and provide support for South Australia's major infrastructure governance committees? We're seeking a Portfolio Governance Officer to join our team and contribute to the success of our senior level project and planning teams.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and coordination of our senior level project and planning governance committees. Your main duties include providing advice to planning and project teams, ensuring adherence to governance processes, and facilitating timely decision-making for project issue resolution. You will also drive continuous improvement in governance arrangements for our infrastructure projects and programs.
As a Portfolio Governance Officer, you will provide secretariat support for major infrastructure governance committees, manage complex information, ensure transparency in project governance, and support effective decision-making. You will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing Public Works Committee submissions and preparing executive presentations. Your collaboration with executives and project teams will be vital in meeting governance requirements in line with our project management framework.
About You
We're seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong written and verbal communication skills.
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in project management software and systems, and an understanding of governance processes.
- Transferrable skills and experience in coordinating executive-level committee meetings and managing and communicating sensitive and complex information, with the ability to negotiate outcomes.
- The ability to understand and respond to customer needs, provide professional and positive experiences, and manage varying internal and external stakeholder interactions.
- The ability to work under broad directions, independently or as part of a team, quickly adapting to changing environments.
Qualifications/Experience
Appointment may be to the ASO4 or ASO5 classification level, and the successful applicant will be appointed at the classification level commensurate with their qualification(s), skills and experience.
A relevant tertiary qualification or qualification in project governance is desirable but not essential.
Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check (NPC) prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Remuneration
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 per annum
ASO5 - $85,790 to $95,413 per annum
