Implementing an integrated electronic Medical Record (ie MR) across all public hospitals in Queensland is at the heart of our digital transformation and is essential to delivering care, closer to home. Already used in numerous facilities today, the ie MR is improving care and patient outcomes by offering Queensland Health clinicians access to real-time clinical information for their patients, at point of care.
Queensland Health is currently undertaking several of the largest health ICT programs and projects ever seen in Australia. The largest of these, the Digital Hospital Program (DHP) is a visionary program that continues to enable clinical services and enhance our technological capability by extending the availability of the ie MR into more hospitals and community care venues.
The Digital Hospital Program will deliver advanced ie MR to 5 Metro North hospitals over the first 5 years.
