Program Manager (Workplace Violence and Aggression)

About the role
Reporting to the Director, Health, Safety and Wellbeing the Program Manager (Workplace Violence and Aggression) will lead the department's systematic and strategic approach to workplace violence and aggression risk management.
The role will require you to:
- Lead the development and implementation of a strategic approach to managing workplace violence and aggression, training and capability development, and support mechanisms across the Department.
- Conduct high priority risk assessments and manage the development of a departmental violence and aggression risk profile to guide the development of education, prevention and support programs.
- Oversee the development of whole of department training framework to improve the safety capability to support both employees and meet the expectations of the community.
- Provide specialist strategic advice to executives and senior leaders on the development and implementation of the department's controls and response to managing the risks of violence and aggression.
- Provide consultancy services across the Department on complex violence and aggression risk management matters, including the contract negotiations and scoping relating to the engagement of external professionals engaged for the provision of risk management services to the Department.
- Build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence a positive safety culture with a focus on managing the risk of violence and aggression.
- Provide contemporary subject matter expertise in the development of policies, procedures, capability development programs and other materials relating to violence and aggression risk management, with the view to continuous improvement.
