Project Delivery Technician - Flood Sustainment

We seek a suitably qualified and experienced project delivery technician with specific flood network, radio alert, or hydrography instrumentation and installation skills. The role will undertake workshop instrument preparation, field installation, and commissioning activities for 40 flood network station upgrades across Australia. The majority of project activities are in Tasmania and South Australia. Upgrades include various complexities of work at the Flood Warning Network (FWN) radio repeater, river level, and rainfall stations.
The successful candidate will be based in any capital city or Cairns and must work regularly at one of the Bureau's National technical workshops. The role is hands-on, and the candidate will be required to spend considerable time preparing equipment in a technical workshop and undertaking installation and commissioning activities at field locations around the country.
The position will be reporting to the Project Manager (Flood Sustainment) and be within the Observing Systems and Operations/Flood Warning Networks team. The position will work closely with technical flood warning technicians and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of sustainment projects.
