REGIONAL DIRECTOR – AUSTRALIA

We are seeking a dynamic Regional Director to take overall responsibility of the 2XM Consult Australia. Report to the Global Managing Director, supported by the members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for all facets of business performance, including SQE, operations, sales and marketing, and business development. You will work closely with global Service Offer leads, the Strategic Development Director, and Group functions such as People and Finance, as well as the TXM Consult UK stakeholders.

Business Growth
Business expansion by widening skills and service offerings to deliver sales and profitability targets

Collaboration
Support and collaborate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals

Resource Strategy
Establish clear strategies to increase the business profile and profitability

Client Relationships
Forge strong business relationships and identify potential acquisition targets

Reporting
Produce appropriate performance reports for the Global MD

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development of Business Plan
  • Collaborate with the Global MD to develop a comprehensive business plan that aligns with the overall strategic objectives and values of 2XM Consult
  • Be cognisant of market, economic and financial trends, to compare to organisational capabilities to create realistic goals for the Australia region
  • Set clear targets for revenue growth, profitability, client acquisition, and service expansion, ensuring alignments with global priorities
  • Delivery of Business Plan
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team and service offer leads to implement strategies outlined in business plan
  • Coordinate efforts across different departments and resources to ensure a unified approach towards achieving objectives
  • Monitor and supervise progress, problem solve, and provide continuous guidance on agreed business plan
  • Business Expansion
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential markets to expand 2XM Consult’s client base
  • Suggest and develop innovative service offerings that address emerging market needs and leverage the business resources
  • Foster relationships with key industry players to enhance market presence and reputation
  • People Development

  • Provide mentorship, professional development, and feedback to employees based on agreed development goals
  • Contribute to a culture that encourages continuous learning and growth
  • Coordinate and implement a structured performance appraisal system to evaluate performance regularly
  • Stakeholder Relationships
  • Promote a culture of open communication and collaboration across TXM Group and ensure seamless coordination and information flow between different regional offices
  • Actively engage in industry events, conferences, and professional associations to build a robust network
  • Stay informed about latest trends, innovations and competitive activities within the market, and share relevant insight accordingly
  • Consultancy
  • Engage in consultancy projects that contribute directly to the company’s revenue, targeting at least 20% of time to utilisation
  • Quality and Safety Procedures
  • Uphold to the highest standards of quality and safety in all business operations in conjunction with the appropriate stakeholders, regularly review and update procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
  • Contribute in and/ or conduct necessary audits and assessment to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
  • Culture and Code of Conduct
- Demonstrate commitment to 2XM Consult ethical standards and Code of Conduct in all professional activities - Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the organisation

Requirement
  • Tertiary degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related, and/ or advanced degree (eg. MBA)
  • Hold professional certifications, eg. CEng, PMP, or PE
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the infrastructure engineering sector
  • Have proven track record in senior management roles, including regional and national leadership positions
  • Have extensive experience in successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion
  • Demonstrate success in business development and client relationships management
  • Have strong financial acumen – experience in budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation, P&L statements, financial metrics and KPIs related to projects
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the company’s goals by leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities, execute sales with appropriate marketing strategies
  • Have strong network of contacts within the appropriate sector
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and team members
  • Have experience in implementing quality control measures and ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Have commitment to ethical business practices, corporate social responsibility, and the company’s values, vision and mission
  • Able to regularly travel domestically and internationally as required
