Seasonal General Mill Worker - Pioneer Mill

With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products.
To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
About the Role
We are currently looking for fixed-term Labourers to work as General Mill Workers (GMW) to join our Day Services Team located at Pioneer Mill.
The role will suit someone who is self-motivated and doesn't need close supervision. Previous related experience is not essential as we will provide training for a person who displays the right aptitude and team fit.
In addition to the day work the position may require weekend work as well as some overtime.
Primary responsibilities:

Performing labouring duties, including but not limited to; shovelling, air lancing and maintaining clean work areas etc.
Ensuring permits to work and risk assessments are completed
Assisting tradespersons where required
Taking samples as directed
Perform other duties as the Supervisor may reasonably request

The successful applicant must be able to show the following:

an ability to communicate well with all kinds of people
work as a team player who knows how important teamwork is and does their part without being asked
very good at noticing small things and paying attention to details
someone who takes personal responsibility and being accountable seriously
