A bit about your role

The Senior Development Engineer (SDE) leads a Delivery Team, providing technical direction, resolving conflicts, and participating in design, coding, and testing. This team is part of a larger Service Team, delivering IT changes for specific business processes within nbn. The SDE collaborates with senior roles, Product Owners, Iteration Leads, and engineering and architecture teams. Key responsibilities include establishing and monitoring software engineering practices, ensuring software quality, promoting engineering metrics, managing technical risks, and supporting non-functional changes.

A bit about you

If you are interested in this role, you should ideally have strong years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, middleware, or database technology, and technology leadership. You will have expertise in agile roles like Scrum Master or Product Owner, and experience in large organizations, delivering digital projects, and working with senior stakeholders. Key skills include telecommunications domain knowledge, proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, Node.js, Python, Scala, SQL), Java-based frameworks (Spring Boot), integration solutions, data formats (XML, JSON), relational databases, AWS services, containerization, microservices, serverless architectures, and data analysis tools. Effective communication, planning, and organizational skills are also essential.

Collaborating effectively with others to achieve common goals and support team success is essential, as is possessing exceptional communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, to manage stakeholders and present comfortably at all levels.
