About the role:
You will provide important oversight and assurance to ensure the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS) software elements are successfully delivered.
What will you be involved in:

• Oversee development and support of JP9101 Software elements in support of EDHFCS acquisition
• Provide governance to ensure EDHFCS Software systems are met through the acquisition process
• Develop, manage, and maintain the JP9101 Software Management artefacts across Acquisition, Support, and Legacy Support contracts
• Provision of formal Engineering advice to the JP9101 Engineering Manager regarding project software development and software management activities, across all relevant contracts
• Collaborate with the wider JP9101 Team to provide software management input across all discipline streams and contracts
• Review and provide software system feedback on contract deliverables in order to support the implementation of the EDHFCS solution
• Provide assurance that software procurement and support under JP9101 meets all relevant standards and regulations
• Ensure that interoperability and interfacing requirements for software are met
• Liaise with SMEs for any necessary specialist advice where required when reviewing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and / or participating in systems engineering activities

What we would like from you:

• Must be an AU Citizen and hold a (pre-existing / currently valid) NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance
• Experience in developing and reviewing technical / engineering artefacts and documentation
• Demonstrable experience in working with software development projects using Agile methodology in relation to platforms relevant to Defence e.g. combat systems
• Knowledge of High Frequency (HF) Communications, Telecommunications and Networking is highly desirable
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Knowledge and experience in ASDEFCON contract suite, and proficiency in reviewing Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) documentation is highly desirable
