We are embarking on our Quality Engineering journey and looking for an experienced Staff Quality Engineer to be part of the Delivery & Quality Engineering chapter within HR Technology.

The HR Technology function works in an Agile methodology with our HR business to plan, prioritise and deliver on high value HR & technology objectives with key results that can be experienced by all of our employees.

As the Staff Quality Engineer, you will bring your expertise in quality engineering, test automation, risk management, business solutions, systems optimisation to provide overall leadership, strategic planning and direction and execution of test automation initiatives. You will foster an environment of engineering excellence and a culture of ongoing improvement. You will enjoy working in a hybrid agile development environment, collaborating with diverse teams and working with diverse portfolio of work.

• Are eager to take on the role of the squad's "Quality Advocate," encouraging a critical thinking mindset and drive prevention of defects over detection of defects.
• Contribute to the development of test harnesses, frameworks, tools and infrastructure to enable test automation, CI/CD and code quality.
• Effectively strategize, plan and estimate test deliverables to ensure system enhancements/fixes are stable, reliable and available for customers
• Have a deep understanding of quality attributes in SDLC and quality practices.
• Influences product design, implementation, and enhancement to support testability and quality.
• Automates real-time anomaly detection through services such as log monitoring.
• Build and integrate and maintain solutions to provide test data.
• Creates well-engineered, scalable and reliable tests, and review tests created by other engineers.
• Have the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical at all levels, including explaining complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Works closely with the squads and lead on the journey of quality engineering and Dev Sec Ops through coaching and mentoring, especially software engineers.
• Support and mentor other Quality Engineers.

Technical Skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

• Expertise with programming language - C# using Visual Studio, Java, Python, Java Script.
• Deep understanding of API testing tools and BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) framework - Selenium, Playwright, Specflow.
• Working knowledge of Dev Ops and CI/CD implementation - Git Hub, and Team City.
• Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and API/Service based testing using tools such as POSTMAN and Blazemeter.
• Proficient using Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Cloud - AWS preferred.
• Any experience with the following would be highly regarded but not essential: Docker, Perfecto, PACT, REST Assured, ISTQB qualification.
