Description:
The Opportunity

The Digital Services/ICT Department is embarking on a series of pivotal projects as part of its three-year IT strategic plan. These initiatives aim to foster innovation, strengthen cyber and information security, and introduce new methodologies to enhance organisational operations.

As our Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in driving these strategic projects and improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to perform in-depth business and systems analysis, defining both business and functional requirements.

What you’ll do

• Conduct stakeholder impact analysis and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to capture detailed requirements and business rules.
• Determine necessary activities to address business problems, including scope, effort required, and time estimates.
• Investigate issues, analyse options, and recommend solutions to enhance compliance, effectiveness, and risk management.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirement specifications, business cases, and User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities, such as workshops and interviews, to document and diagram business requirements and use cases.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders and ensure alignment with project objectives through extensive engagement.

Skills and Experiences:
What you'll bring:
You should have a relevant tertiary qualification in a business or technology related discipline and/or significant industry experience, including 8+ years as a technical business analyst with a deep understanding of ICT trends and the ability to effectively work with both software and infrastructure vendors.
