• Salary - Classification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $121,537 to $126,970 pro rata

• Employment - Part Time (15.2 hours per week) – Temporary - Up To 30 Jun 2026

About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity in the Yarrow Place Rape and Sexual Assault Service for a suitably qualified and registered RN3 Forensic Nurse Consultant Part time (15.2 hours per week) – long term contract until 30 June 2026.
As the Nurse Consultant you will:

• Provide clinical leadership to nurses/midwives and providing training to nurses within metropolitan and rural services to develop and maintain the skills to provide forensic and health care responses for victim / survivors of sexual assault and rape.
• Coordinate and lead projects and/or programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve patient/client/service outcomes.
• Accept accountability for your nursing practice, the outcomes of nursing practices for the specific patient/client group, the professional advice given, delegations of care made and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.

About You
You must be Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold, (or be eligible to hold), a current practicing certificate. You must also have at least 3 years post registration experience.
Your experience should include:

• Willingness to provide rural services e.g., training, support, telehealth. and work with less experienced staff, this includes intrastate travel
• Ability to work with the demands of being rostered on call and providing an immediate response
• Experience working with victims of sexual assault and people in crisis / trauma settings
• The criminal law (forensic procedures) Act 2007 and basic understanding of the criminal justice system relating to rape
