Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Craftsman/Foreman to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, excellent English communication skills, and proficiency in CAD software. Experience in designing and producing wooden playgrounds or outdoor furniture is essential. The Lead Craftsman/Foreman will be responsible for leading a team of craftsmen, ensuring the highest quality of work, and managing projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- *Lead and Supervise*: Oversee a team of skilled craftsmen, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- *Project Management*: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- *Design and Planning*: Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and plans for wooden playgrounds and outdoor furniture. Collaborate with designers and clients to refine concepts and specifications.
- *Quality Control*: Implement and maintain quality control processes, inspecting work at various stages to ensure adherence to specifications and company standards.
- *Safety and Compliance*: Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and comply with local regulations and company policies.
- *Client Interaction*: Communicate effectively with clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and providing updates on project progress.
Qualifications
- *Experience*: Minimum of 5 years of experience in woodworking, with a focus on outdoor furniture or playgrounds. Proven experience in a leadership or foreman role is required.
- *Skills*:
- Proficiency in CAD software and design tools.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of woodworking machinery, tools, and materials.
- *Education*: Relevant certifications or training in woodworking, carpentry, or related fields. A degree in industrial design, architecture, or a related field is a plus.
