Position Overview: As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, creating innovative dishes, and ensuring the highest quality of food. You’ll be responsible for leading the kitchen team, maintaining a smooth workflow, and upholding our restaurant’s standards of excellence.

- Kitchen Management: Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to culinary standards.
- Menu Development: Contribute to the creation and development of new menu items, specials, and seasonal dishes.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to our restaurant’s standards, maintaining consistency and excellence.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, controlling waste, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling standards.
- Customer Service: Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure that guest requests and special dietary needs are accommodated.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume or fine dining restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent training and experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
- Excellent cooking skills, with a creative and innovative approach to menu development.
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience:
- Sous Chef: 2 years (Required)
- Arabic Cuisine: 1 year (Required)
