CDM Stravitec is a leading international company specialized in the design, manufacturing and installation of noise and vibration isolation systems for construction and industry. They are active in more than 30 countries worldwide with headquarters in Belgium, 10 own branches abroad and 2 assembly units. They employ about 90 people and are recognized to be the technological leader in its field.

To support their further growth, this trendsetting company currently has a full-time permanent vacancy for an Accounting Manager for their headquarters in Overijse. In this position you will be responsible for the correct handling of the complete accounting of their headquarters and foreign subsidiaries.

Together with a team of accountants you take care of the operational accounting, the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and VAT declarations. You are also responsible for the final control and interpretation of the numbers. Finally, you are the financial point of contact within the organization, for both internal and external customers.

• THESE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS ACCOUNTING MANAGER:

• You ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in all its aspects (statutory, tax, consolidation, …) based on the preparatory work of the team of accountants and your own input.
• You lead projects to optimize the functioning of the team and increase operational efficiency (e.g.: implementation accounting package in our branches, implementation digitization, …)
• You are the internal sounding board as technical expert in the field of accounting & tax.
• Management, review & follow-up of the foreign entities in consultation with the local external auditors.
• You are the first point of contact for external audits.

Depending on your profile and experience, other tasks may be added.

• You have a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
• You have worked and have experience for at least 2 years in a similar role.
• You work autonomously and in a structured way and can meet deadlines.
• Delivering accurate work and attention to detail are important to you.
• You take initiative, are pro-active and flexible.
• You are eager to learn and willing to grow along with the company.

• Microsoft Office had no secrets.
• If you know anything about Bright Analytics and Business Central, that would be a bonus.
• You are fluent in English and are proficient in either Dutch or French (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
