We are seeking an experienced computational modeler to join our Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) team who is motivated to advance the discovery of small molecule therapeutic candidates for neurology & immunology. This position is based either in Slough UK, or at our Belgian research site in Braine-l'Alleud.

We are seeking an experienced computational modeler to join our Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) team who is motivated to advance the discovery of small molecule therapeutic candidates for neurology & immunology. This position is based either in Slough UK, or at our Belgian research site in Braine-l'Alleud.
About the role
- Discover drugs in neurological and immunological indications with the help of computers.
- Work together with colleagues within CADD & multidisciplinary teams, responsible to drive holistic compound design for various projects.
- Support technology development/ acquisition & application in CADD and its application to pipeline projects.
- Act as an ambassador for CADD at cross-disciplinary meetings and departmental meetings.
- Share & build a culture of data-driven decision making & trust among colleagues within & outside of CADD.
- Use your interpersonal skills to create an inclusive environment for project teams to flourish.

Who you’ll work with
- You will work closely with project teams who are committed to deliver therapeutic candidates for patients who need them.
- Your fellow CADD colleagues toward collective success of utilizing computational tools for improved design of compounds.
- You will collaborate with members from Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, DMPK, Safety, Data Sciences and IT.
What you’ll do
- Deliver high quality compound designs to small molecule therapeutic projects.
- Actively engage in the development of innovative technologies.
- Debate & constructively challenge colleagues to deliver best solutions.
- Willing to learn & take on new challenges.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- A Ph D in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Molecular Modeling, Bioinformatics, Pharmacy or a related field is required.
- Significant years’ pharma/biotech experience post Ph D &/or post-doc supporting small molecule therapeutic projects through holistic compound design.
- Demonstrated knowledge in applying principles of medicinal chemistry, structure-based design & ADMET toward compound design.
- Ability to influence and impact beyond immediate area of responsibility.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
