About the role
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Assistant Site Manager is responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities. This includes but is not limited to effective communication with tenants and vendors, addressing leasing inquiries, and conductive unit tours. You enjoy in engaging with tenants, collaborating with team members, and interacting with prospective tenants. You are also committed to fostering positive relationships with vendors.
Please note this is a 6 month temporary contract.
Hourly Pay Range: $25.00-$29.00.

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinating and conducting all leasing tours and leasing related events
• Conducting background checks, credit checks, landlord reference checks and ensure timely communication is provided to applicants.
• Conducting move-ins and move-outs & inspecting vacant suites
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the property, including availability of suite types, layouts, common areas and amenities of the building
• Screening & Following up with prospective building tenants
• Conducting tours of available units & preparing units for showings
• Responding to maintenance requests and ensuring that all pending requests resolved promptly
• Ensuring timely collection of rents and fees.
• Administrating and delivering notices or other documents to tenants (ie. late payments, evictions).
• Building relationships with vendors & tenants
• Maintaining knowledge if the property market
• Organizing and maintaining filing systems

What we’re looking for

• 1-3 years property, leasing or building management experience
• Property Management Certification is an asset
• Valid drivers license
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Yardi Property Management software experience is an asset
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS) is an asset
