Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for our Sheffield facility located in Ottawa Ontario.
What you’ll get to do

• Accurately proportion cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures in batches to load into ready mix trucks.
• Work with Production, Transportation, and Dispatch departments regarding material delivery.
• Take responsibility for keeping accurate weight, measure, and billing information to ensure proper crediting to customer.
• Check inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives and/or specialized materials, and notify appropriate suppliers of production needs.
• Ensure the compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of facilities, complete maintenance and health and safety checklists.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to use MARCOTTE and Command Alcon applications.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (front end loader).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role which often includes repetitive motion and heavy lifting.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Aggregates plant experience.
• 2 or more years of batch plant experience.
• Maintenance experience.

Work Environment

• Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
