Role: Child Care Centre Housekeeping
Wage: $19.90 - $20.70 per hour
Benefits: Vacation at 6% gross annual pay, Paid sick days
Hours: 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 5:30pm-8:30pm with flexibility as needed.
Location: YMCA Tumbler Ridge Care & Learning Centre
About the Program: The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and YMCA BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe, Tumbler Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.
Responsibilities of this role:

• Performing cleaning duties of the YMCA Care and Learning Centre as specified in the work schedule. Paying particular attention to detail and sanitization needs.
• Meeting the highest standards of building cleanliness in our Tumbler Ridge location helping to ensure our members have an enjoyable experience in a clean facility.
• Completing cleaning tasks to ensure the facility is ready for children according to licensing and YMCA standards.
• Ability to speak, write, listen and secure information in a variety of settings. Ability to cooperate with others to achieve results. Ability to create and build relationships inside and outside the organization.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Physically able to do assigned tasks and ability to multitask
• WHIMS is an asset
• Three professional references and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector search
