Le Spécialiste en Assurance Qualité sera responsable de la mise en œuvre et du suivi continu des systèmes d’assurance qualité pour les produits (concombres), en stricte conformité avec les règlements de l’ACIA. Le Spécialiste en Assurance Qualité est chargé de soutenir l’Assurance Qualité de l’entreprise et de travailler en collaboration avec les départements de production, de sanitation, de maintenance et des installations:
  • Communiquer ou escalader toute non-conformité aux parties prenantes des départements respectifs ou au responsable de Qualité ;
  • Surveiller et appliquer les procédures pour maintenir la gestion post-récolte ;
  • Aider le département à construire un système de gestion de la qualité pour la production alimentaire et se conformer aux règlements de l’ACIA ;
  • Respecter les exigences réglementaires et obtenir des certifications telles que les certifications de sécurité alimentaire pour démontrer l’adhésion aux normes de qualité ;
  • Inspecter les produits récoltés pour la qualité et maintenir des dossiers des activités de production et des évaluations de qualité ;
  • Exécuter les tâches assignées pour le programme de sécurité alimentaire et de certification conformément à la Loi sur la salubrité des aliments au Canada ;
  • Effectuer des inspections quotidiennes dans les zones de culture, d’emballage et d’entrepôt et surveiller les activités pour s’assurer qu’elles respectent la Loi sur la salubrité des aliments au Canada et les normes de certification ;
  • Participer aux réunions quotidiennes avec le responsable et exécuter les priorités du jour en fonction des besoins de l’entreprise ;
  • Faire partie de l’équipe HACCP et aider le responsable à organiser des réunions périodiques en préparant l’ordre du jour, les comptes rendus et en suivant les actions à entreprendre ;
  • Communiquer les besoins du département qualité et des autres parties prenantes en les escaladant au responsable qualité pour allouer les ressources nécessaires à la mise en œuvre du programme de sécurité alimentaire ;
  • Former les employés sur des sujets tels que la sécurité alimentaire, l’hygiène des employés, le HACCP, la sanitation ;
  • Mettre en œuvre le programme de lutte contre les nuisibles en travaillant avec le prestataire de services, en surveillant les actions correctives et en collaborant avec les parties prenantes pour s’assurer que les actions correctives sont efficaces ;
  • Aider le responsable qualité à préparer les inspections de sécurité alimentaire ;
  • Effectuer, maintenir et mettre à jour le système de gestion documentaire et le registre
  • Aider le responsable qualité à mettre en œuvre efficacement le programme d’approbation des fournisseurs ;
  • Effectuer le programme de tests – eau, produit, environnement et autres intrants connexes ;
  • Exécuter le programme d’inspection des matières premières et communiquer aux parties prenantes que le matériel est libéré pour utilisation après inspection ;
  • Effectuer l’approbation des étiquettes et la libération des produits en temps opportun et communiquer avec les parties prenantes ;
  • Surveiller les BPF (Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication) par les employés, escalader les constatations avec des faits au responsable qualité et suivre les BPF en donnant l’exemple ;
  • Documenter les plaintes des clients et travailler avec les parties prenantes sur l’enquête ;
  • Participer aux audits internes mensuels ;
  • Promouvoir une politique de tolérance zéro pour la non-conformité aux exigences internes/externes ;
  • Jouer un rôle actif dans d’autres projets de R&D et autres certifications ISO ;
  • Autres responsabilités et obligations assignées par le responsable qualité ;
  • Suivre les procédures de sécurité à la ferme, de sécurité alimentaire et de biosécurité

Éducation :
  • Diplôme ou certificat postsecondaire dans une discipline technique requis ;
  • Diplôme de baccalauréat dans une discipline technique (Sciences alimentaires, physiques ou biologiques de préférence) ;
  • Connaissance en sécurité alimentaire un atout majeur ;
  • Expérience préalable en assurance qualité ;
  • Souci du détail et autonomie dans l’exécution des tâches requises ;
  • Capacité avérée à utiliser efficacement les applications Microsoft Office ;
  • Joueur d’équipe motivé avec de solides compétences en communication et une attention aux détails ;
  • Doit posséder une volonté d’apprendre avec une attitude positive ; bonnes compétences en communication et en gestion du temps ;
  • Être adaptable;
  • Doit être bilingue (anglais et français) et l’espagnol est un atout

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the quality assurance systems for the produce in strict compliance with CFIA’s regulations. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting the company’s Quality Assurance and working in collaboration with production, sanitation, maintenance and facilities departments.
  • Communicates or Escalates any non-compliances to respective department stakeholders or lead or manager of the Quality Department;
  • Monitor and enforced procedures to maintain post-harvest handling.
  • Help the department in building a Quality management system for food production and complied with CFIA.
  • Adhered to regulatory requirements and obtained certifications such as food safety certifications to demonstrate adherence to quality standards.
  • Inspect harvested produce for quality and maintained records of production activities and quality assessments.
  • Execute the tasks assigned for food safety and certification program are completed in accordance with safe food for Canadian’s act.
  • Perform daily walks in the cultivation, packaging, warehouse areas and monitor the activities to ensure that functioning in respect to the safe food for Canadians act and certification standards
  • Participate in the Daily huddle from the manager and execute the priorities for the day in accordance with the business needs.
  • Part of the HACCP team and assist the manager to conduct periodic meetings by preparing the agenda, minutes and circulating the notes to the stakeholders and following up on the action items.
  • Communicate the needs of the quality department and other stakeholders by escalating to the quality manager to allocate the necessary resources to implement the food safety program
  • Training the employees for e.g.: food safety, employee hygiene, HACCP, Sanitation.
  • implementation of the pest control program by working with the service provider by monitoring the corrective actions and work with stakeholders to ensure that the corrective action items are effective.
  • Assist the Quality manager in preparation for the food safety inspections.
  • Perform, maintain and update the documentation management system and registry.
  • Assist the quality manager in the effective implementation of the supplier approval program
  • Performing the testing program – water, product, environment and other related inputs.
  • Execute the raw material inspections program and communicating to the stakeholders that the material is released for use upon inspection.
  • Perform label approval and product release in timely fashion and communicate to the stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the GMP by the employees, escalating the findings with facts to the quality manager and following the GMPs by leading as an example.
  • Document the customer complaints and work with stakeholders on the investigation.
  • Participating in the monthly internal audits.
  • Promote a zero-tolerance policy for non-compliance with internal/external requirements.
  • Play an active role in other R and D projects and other ISO certifications.
  • Other responsibilities and accountabilities assigned by the quality manager.
  • farm safety, food safety and security and bio-security procedures are followed

Education:
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a technical discipline required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Food, Physical, or Biological Sciences preferred)
  • Food safety background a strong asset;
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance;
  • Detail oriented and self-directed in execution of tasks required;
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Motivated team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess a willingness to learn with a positive attitude; good communication and time management skills.
  • Be adaptable
  • Must be bilingual (English and French) and Spanish is an asset
