We are building a forklift division to satisfy our clients in the storage and material handling industry. This is a unique role for the right candidate to be at the ground level of growth, including the ability to work with ownership and management to create a notable and trusted material handling service division. Starting from the ground up you will be responsible for building and growing a team. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Acting as the lead technician in launching the division
• Coordinating rental orders
• Prepare, pick, and respond to parts inquiries for customers and future techs
• Assist in building a team including techs and parts staff over time, while contributing your visionary ideas to the department

The Role

• Responsible for day-to-day needs of the Service department at ground level.
• Executes initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and maximizes efficiencies including service & warranty programs
• Act as a capable lead technician , while prepared to supervise future service technicians to ensure repairs are performed in a timely and effective manner to meet customer expectations and profitability targets
• Provide coaching and training for all future department hires
• Work with customers, suppliers and co-workers to fulfill service orders and inquiries within service and cost expectations
• Your ability to maintain a growth mindset and positive attitude is required daily

The Candidate:
: Post secondary education. Skilled trade certification considered an asset. 2-4 years previous experience in a forklift and/or material handling service division is required, both as a tech and with supervisory experience.
: Experience working with equipment repairs, troubleshooting and generating quote labor hours. A keen interest in customer service is required. Familiarly with parts and rental equipment business is an asset we are looking for.
Proficiency: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word. Familiar with using ERPs
