Looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work at the top 3 Japanese restaurant in Canada. The role is hands on and the ideal candidate would be a strong cook and able to multitask.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Being able to slice fish
• Responsible for preparing food for service
• Prep (chopping, peeling, cutting) and stocking the station with all the necessary ingredients
• Execute dishes with accuracy, speed, and detail; adhering to the recipes provided by the Executive Chef
• Maintain quality and fresheness of products
• Monitor stock and log shortages as required
• Keep a clean work station, including equipment and utensils; understand and abide by Health & Safety standards and Food Safe requirements

We are a high end restaurant with highly skilled chef who led the counter a Michelin restaurant looking for candidates passionate about food and who are looking to grow within the company.
Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial kitchen environment and Japanese cuisine is preferred
• Completion of high school
• Exude positivity and possess a welcoming and enthusiastic can-do attitude
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Strong attention to detail
