Experiential Learning Program Manager

Job Goal / Purpose:
Collaborate with divisional leaders to ensure a strong, age-appropriate Experiential and Service Learning program for students PK-12 that provides developmentally-appropriate, challenging ang joyful learning experiences outside of the classroom for all students.
Duties/ Responsibles:
Program Direction and Development:
- Direct the development and implementation of the vertically-aligned service and experiential learning program at ISB, ensuring alignment with the school's mission and strategic initiatives.
- Manage and lead the Service and Experiential Learning team to ensure strong program delivery and improve programs year-to-year.
- Establish systems and structures to measure the success and implementation of service and experiential learning.
Community Partnerships and Integration:
- Facilitate the development, implementation, and ongoing support of experiential learning through partnerships, experts, and local/global networks.
- Identify and build meaningful partnerships with partners, community organizations, parents, alumni, and local Chinese entities to support the service and experiential learning programs.
- Support with the Director of Learning and Office of Learning team to integrate service and experiential learning into the curriculum.
- Support the IB CAS Coordinator in identifying service-learning opportunities.
Operations and Support:
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the experiential learning programs, including managing the Experiential Learning team and maintaining documentation and records.
- Oversee the visiting expert program and coordinate with sponsoring departments.
- Collaborate with divisional offices and teachers to manage and support experiential learning projects.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Design communications in collaboration with divisional offices to ensure stakeholder clarity around ESLO trips and experiences.
- Engage in professional learning and positive relationships to support the development, implementation, and assessment of the ISB Service-Learning Program.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education
- University bachelor's degree
Skills
- Project management experience and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate in English
- Tracking budget expenses and maintaining databases
- Ability to manage a multicultural team
Experience
- Previous success in an international school environment
- Experience running experiential learning programs or experiences in China
Disposition
- Resourceful, networker who takes initiative and has a “Can do” attitude
- Is multi-culturally sensitive and skilled at communicating in both Chinese and Western settings
Preferred qualifications and experience
- Chinese language skills
- Teaching and curriculum knowledge
