We are seeking to add an additional passionate and experienced Physics teacher to join our dynamic team at WAS Changzhou, the only full boarding school in Changzhou offering a high standard of education and facilities. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to delivering a UK-based international curriculum and is enthusiastic about contributing to a holistic learning environment that nurtures both academic success and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality physics lessons based on the UK curriculum adapted for an international context. We follow Edexcel IGCSE and A-Levels examinations in Grades 9-12.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development for every student.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and support school-wide goals.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching a UK-based curriculum, preferably in an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assessment practices to cater to diverse learning needs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience of working in a full boarding school environment.

History
Wycombe Abbey School in the UK was founded in 1896 and is renowned for its academic excellence and the
nurturing and development of the whole child. In 2015, BE Education established its first international school in
Changzhou. WASCZ is now highly successful and has gained outstanding academic credentials and an enviable
regional reputation in the performing arts, creative arts and sport. The education at WASCZ is truly holistic and
is founded upon the strengths of the full boarding model.
The WAS Group
In September 2019, Wycombe Abbey Schools added another school to the Group with the opening of Wycombe.
Abbey School Hong Kong. Then, in September 2021, added bilingual schools in Hangzhou and Nanjing. Each of
the Wycombe Abbey Schools within the International Group will exist as an institution in its own right,
independently led and governed. Within this construct, the Senior Leaders will be supported by the HQ team.
