Location
This role can be based in any Central or South American country.
Role Purpose
Participate in design and ensure implementation of sales planning & effectiveness strategy to increase market share, sales volume, effectiveness and efficiency of the sales function, and enhance sales and marketing standards in line with business needs and objectives, Group guidelines and policies
Main Accountabilities
- Contribute to development of sales planning strategy in line with business needs and objectives, DHL guidelines and policies
- Organize, budget and implement sales training and coaching programs, using internal and external suppliers; and Develop budgeting and sales incentive program to provide best in class solutions
- Lead initiatives and activities across various areas of sales such as planning, defining sales channels, segmenting customers, training, compensation design, data/ metrics, etc. to increase effectiveness of the sales function
- Lead development of business systems which provide sales information to the business and for sales forecasting
- Provide sales management with reporting tools and drive deployment to monitor progress and propose training on new technology
- Analyze business, competitors and customers to identify information needs; and ensure external research on market competitiveness, and consolidate industry statistics to enable business decisions and market growth projections
- Act as liaison to production/ product supply to ensure alignment with market projections
- Provide guidance for establishing and maintaining a full and high level of customer data quality
- Enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency through measurement of KPIs, benchmarking and sharing of business development practices; and recommend cost-effective allocation of customers to sales channels and review the sales organization to optimize cost of sales
- Review and audit sales processes, competencies and performance.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of industry experience specifically in Sales Process Manager positions, preferably with management experience within DHL.
- Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and diverse experience in related field.
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and implementing projects.
- Requires high level of critical thinking and ingenuity in bringing successful resolution to unusually complex and strategic issues.
- Strong knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, processes, and practices.
- Develops/deploys new applications based on professional principles and theories.
- Ability to interface and drive results with management at all levels.
- Travel required below 50%
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
