SOFTWARE ENGINEER (COSTA RICA)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Costa Rica. Our client is a leader in analytic advisory services and technology solutions for financial institutions, working with 80 percent of the largest global banks, payment networks, and wealth managers. The company offers solutions enabling financial institutions to make data-driven decisions quickly and profitably, focusing on deposits, lending, and digital experience solutions. They built a self-service customer journey analytics solution on Cloudera’s modern data platform. The platform integrates customer accounts and transaction data from more than 30 institutions with third-party data. It applies machine learning models to operationalize customer scores, such as customer potential value (CPV), for various use cases, including offer optimization, customer retention targeting, and cross-sell and upsell activities. Through access to comprehensive datasets and analytics, intelligent technologies, and connected behavioral insights, it is the partner of choice to help attract, retain, and grow more profitable customer relationships. The headquarters is located in New York. You will need your own laptop, and the client will provide an Azure or AWS Virtual Desktop that you can access for all the project’s work.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in full stack development (DB/API/WWW combination) with architectural oversight.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Java Script.
- Understanding of development microservices-based API.
- Experience in test-driven development with the ability to debug issues.
Will be a plus:
- Knowledge of Angular.
- Experience in writing SQL scripts that include complex queries.
- Knowledge of SQL database indexing to improve optimization.
- Knowledge of API frameworks, API Gateway, and API security best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a small development team to build and maintain the products.
- Support API development needs for the products using the API framework.
