Location/Division Specific Information
We are a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Service Innovation group in the Materials and Structural Analysis Division. Our focus is on Digital Services, developing new algorithms to address complex challenges in electron microscopy. Our team operates across multiple locations, including Eindhoven, The Netherlands; Brno, Czech Republic; and Portland, OR, USA.- How to make a microscope?

Discover Impactful Work:
Imaging systems, like electron microscopes, experienced advances in data acquisition, collecting more data at a faster rate. This data is used for Digital Services, driving reduction of unscheduled downtime and improved performance and utilization. In this internship, you will help the algorithm team with become more efficient and facilitate decision making by performing analyses of data and processes.Keys to Success:
This internship, based in Brno, Czech republic, offers the chance to support our service innovation development team. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and the product owner, conduct research, analyze data, and contribute to innovative solution design and execution. This hands-on experience provides valuable insights into research and development, working with experienced engineers to bring innovative concepts to life.Key responsibilities:
- Provide reports and ideas to improve team performance
- Establish product effectiveness metrics
- Assist in daily tasks
Desired Qualifications:
- University student (bachelor’s or master’s).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Effective communication of complex technical concepts to collaborators.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
