What is this role about?
To partner with, and provide financial analytical support to VTBA central functions, namely but not limited to Central HR and VTTG, in reporting and analysis of financial related information. Providing support for Divisional and Central Functions leaders, on costs and providing general insight and reporting on the costs, this will include forecasting as part of the 3-year planning process, along with ad hoc analysis as and when required to provide the required insight

The role holder will be required to liaise with a wide array of personnel within the business, depending on the task at hand. The role holder will also be in frequent contact with senior members of the Business Area, including those in Business Divisions and Cost Centre management, where they will serve as both a service provider and a customer, depending on the task. You need to build strong relationships with them. This role will also require strong interaction and cooperation with the At R Team at Edwards Ltd, who are responsible for the day-to-day accounting requirements of the entity.

Preparation of financial data for UK IP tax schemes, including R&D tax credits and the Patent Box, which are crucial for funding future IP development. This role involves creating and improving processes within corporate functions to ensure efficiency, and establishing a robust methodology.

Who are we looking for?

• Qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience from Finance (preferably as Financial Analyst or Accountant)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced excel skills, experience in using SAP, ideally Power BI.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, influencing at a senior level
• Pro-active approach and ability to recognise and drive changes and improvements
• This role will require someone who is very organised, plans ahead, but is capable of being flexible in terms of managing multiple short notice requests and deadlines
• Fluent English
