The Opportunity:
As Head of Commercial Operations and Excellence - Nordics, you ensure robust analytical processes, dashboards, and performance data to drive data-driven decision-making. You establish processes and standards for continuous, structured commercial capabilities assessment, comparing them with industry best practices. In your role, your main responsibilities will be to prioritize areas of improvement to drive differentiation, overperformance, and enhance customer experience. This involves developing improvement plans, tools, and processes for the agile adoption of new best practices to deliver high-quality results and competitive advantages.
You ensure that commercial capabilities are clearly linked with expected results and aligned with long-term business strategy. This includes identifying capability gaps and building the necessary skills to meet customer needs and preferences across their omnichannel journeys. Ultimately, this enhances individual touchpoints and supports an end-to-end omnichannel experience.
In this role, you establish upskilling processes, Customer Excellence best practices, and advisory services for commercial capabilities. These are combined with structured and aligned performance management processes. Furthermore, you ensure that Astellas operations are best in class for sales force excellence through coordinated customer engagement. You collaborate heavily with GMs, BU Heads, and Medical Affairs to foster best-in-class commercial capabilities development throughout the organization.

Key Activities for this role:
· Drive the planning process, working closely with affiliate leadership and Area team as well to optimise the organisational structure, investment, and business fitness for the Area.
· Leads the Development, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management reporting.
· Proactively maintain oversight of other processes in the business, to ensure consistency and alignment across all functional areas.
· Responsible for managing assigned budget.
· Lead the Process Optimization, Forecasting and Ops together with BU Heads- Continuously evaluate and enhance marketing processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices, including business review meetings preparations, budget cycle, forecasting process for marketing activities, operational plans and others.
· Support Head of Business unit to unified launch planning approach, including roadmap with key activities and interdependencies.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
· Growing successful, diverse, professional, high-potential teams working across multi-country borders, developing individual, team and organisational capability
· Proven track record of leading and embedding major cultural and organisational change initiatives, including Healthcare Compliance across geography/region, incorporating cross-cultural perspectives when addressing challenging situations.
· Leading multiple projects in an international, multi-cultural context
· Track record in overseeing marketing programs, including analysis, strategies, forecasting, and market objectives.
· Strong leadership in shaping sales strategies and ensuring brand alignment. Ability to align the Customer Strategy with organizational values.
· Ability to facilitate cooperation between different functions.
Educations/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Additional Information:
· This is a permanent, full-time position.
· Location: Denmark (Copenhagen)
· This position follows our hybrid working model. The role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 2 days per week in our local office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
