The position

The position is anchored in the LBA (ligand binding-assay) Bioanalysis & Biomarker Area, which consists of 28 highly qualified researchers and laboratory technicians.

We are looking for a dedicated colleague for our team of automation experts. Your daily tasks will include:

Maintaining and troubleshooting automated equipment, such as Tecan Fluent liquid handlers.

Serving as the primary contact for service technicians and assisting in the implementation of new applications in automated workflows.

Overseeing equipment in the laboratory and acting as a bridge between lab analyses and automated workflows.

Collaborating with researchers and laboratory technicians to drive automation in analyses and sample handling.

Implementing and validating equipment and IT systems, optimizing workflows, and integrating equipment with the LIMS system.

You will be part of an area that is undergoing an exciting transformation, and you can look forward to a very interesting and challenging position in an environment that wants to be at the forefront of laboratory automation.

About the department
Our area Non-clinical and Clinical Assay Sciences (NCAS) consists of seven departments and is part of Research and Early Development, located in Måløv, Denmark. We are responsible for preclinical and clinical bioanalysis of new pharmaceutical drugs, including immunogenicity and biomarker assays, and support the entire Novo Nordisk product portfolio.

We have a strong collaboration across the departments that also share laboratory facilities, which house a range of different state-of-the-art techniques, e.g. such as ELISA, MSD, Alpha LISA, RIA, Gyros, LCMS and cell-based assays. NCAS is a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) / Good Clinical Practice (GCP) -regulated area and is undergoing a transformation to a more digitized and automated laboratory, involving all seven departments.

Qualifications
To be a successful candidate, you must:

Be educated as a laboratory technician or other relevant background

Be experienced with using and maintaining equipment and are preferably a skilled user of liquid handlers.

Experience from working in a regulated environment (eg with GLP or GCP) is an advantage.

Experience with IT systems and equipment validation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Have good communication skills and a sense of detail.

In addition to this, you possess a strong interest in automation and a passion for troubleshooting technical issues. Your are able to translate your knowledge of the workflows in the laboratory into inputs for automated workflows. You thrive with working both as part of a team and across a larger organization, and you have a proactive and solution-oriented approach, You have focus on quality, as we according to regulatory guidelines and quality work.
