Lead on sustainable product innovation & climate change M/F

We are seeking a highly motivated recent graduate to join our group sustainability team as an Associate in Green Product Innovation. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing our environmental sustainability program, helping us achieve our sustainability goals and make a real impact for the environment.

This position provides a clear pathway for career growth and offers you the opportunity to play a central role in the evolution of our group sustainability function key in supporting the sustainable business transformation.

Responsibilities

Scope 1, 2, 3 inventory calculations: Support the organization in creating yearly consolidated detailed calculations based on the Greenhouse Gases Protpocol and keeping baseline data updated and comparable.

Climate transition plan: Lead the creation and update of our climate change mitigation plan towards net-zero 2050.

Science-Based Targets: Become the contact point for SBTi in securing and keeping our SBTs alive and relevant.

Sustainable Product Development: Drive the development and implementation of guidelines for sustainable product innovation.

Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs): Develop product assessments to improve product sustainability and link it to climate transition plan.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD): Document the environmental impact of our products and secure certification toward our customers.

Project Leadership: Lead and manage sustainability projects effectively.

Our requirements

Climate change mitigation: Good understanding of scope 1, 2, 3 and experience with climate inventory calculations.

ESG Reporting: Experience or knowledge in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting.

Regulatory knowledge: Understanding of regulatory frameworks including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, REACH, SCIP, Ro HS, CBAM etc.

Supply chain knowledge: Good environmental insights in hot spots for industrial products e.g. aluminum, steel, copper, electronics etc.

Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.

IT Skills: Knowledge to systems and data sources for sustainability analytics e.g., Ga Bi, Sigma Pro,, Makersite, Eco Invent, DEFRA etc.
