Senior Contract Managers, Contract & Commercial Advisory (EMEA/APAC)

We experience a rapid growth in the demand from developers and suppliers for our knowhow and services in established and new markets all over the world, thus also an increased demand for specialized contract management support.
Working out of one of our offices in Aarhus or Copenhagen (DK), Hamburg (Germany), Bristol or Glasgow (UK) or Taipei (Taiwan) you will be assigned to support one or more of our renewable energy projects in Europe, or in Asia, depending on your location. You will be functionally reporting to our Director, Contract & Commercial Advisory located in Denmark, and you will become part of a highly dedicated and skilled team. What you’ll be doing:
As Senior Contract Manager you will be a central member of a rapidly growing team with exposure to clients and projects around the world, and your responsibility will be to provide contract management services and contractual advisory support to our internal sales teams and as a consultant for our clients.
In this role, you will provide contractual support as a consultant to K2 Management´s clients. Your duties in this aspect may include the following during project development and procurement:

Working as part of a project team or reporting directly to the client, you will act as the single point of contact for clients on project commercial and contractual issues

Developing procurement and contract management strategies,
-
Drafting heads of terms, contract conditions and commercial schedules for inclusion in invitations to tender,
-
Evaluation of contract and commercial aspects of bids received,
-
Lead the contractual and commercial aspects of contract negotiations.

Advising the project team on contract and commercial matters,
-
Identifying and evaluating contractual risk, and ensuring compliance with the agreed contracts,
-
Registering incoming contractual correspondence and ensuring proactive drafting of responses where appropriate,
-
In cooperation with the relevant project managers, leading variations and claims management for the package(s)

Supporting resolution and/or negotiations of commercial and contractual topics to close out projects, and
-
Supporting mediations and dispute resolution processes.

Provide contract and commercial advice by participating in Due Diligence work for our clients,
-
Supporting the Director for Contract Management and our sales team with the review and / or approval of client agreements, including confidentiality agreements and consultancy agreements, in compliance with our internal guidelines and policies.

You hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration & Commercial Law, or equivalent qualifications (such as construction management or quantity surveying),
-
2-5 years of experience in commercial contract management, preferably in the renewable industry (either onshore / offshore wind, or solar), or similar complex industries,

Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration, change and claims management, and dispute resolution for contracts based upon FIDIC, BIMCO, LOGIC or similar forms of contract,

Good understanding of construction terminology and critical path delay analysis,

Able to work across functions within international teams,

You possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.

You must be eligible to work in one of the mentioned countries (Germany, Denmark, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom or South Korea)
