Senior Project Manager, Procurement Excellence

Your challenges
You will join our Procurement Excellence team, where dedicated procurement practitioners are driving the excellence and optimisation agenda in VELUX Global Procurement. We are passionate about challenging the status quo and committed to create a positive impact for VELUX.
You can expect to be exposed to a variety of assignments related to our strategic initiatives across direct and indirect procurement categories, and across functional areas. You will collaborate with stakeholders in Europe, China and US.

Your tasks

• Drive or support local or global strategic procurement initiatives where Global Procurement is in the lead or has a key role (e.g., new business processes, methodologies, frameworks, other improvements)
  
• Support transformation of Global Procurement by implementing best-practices in selected procurement areas
  
• Scope and manage selected projects, and engage and activate relevant stakeholders
  
• Ensure project performance and time management
  
• Support development and continuous improvement of relevant procurement tools, methodologies, processes, policies, systems
  
• Develop training material for relevant tools, methodologies, policies, systems, and train users
  
• Provide procurement tool support and advice/recommendations to users to support capability building
  
• Bring in new ideas and perspectives that support the purpose of role
  
• Influence decisions within area of expertise and work on basis of a Total Cost of Ownership mindset
  
• Challenge status quo
  

Your qualifications
You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships, while keeping the overarching aspirations in sight. You are respectful, credible and reliable, and you demonstrate drive and initiative. In addition, you excel in creating buy-in from stakeholders, and you maintain high quality standards. You understand how procurement impacts our business and customers.
You have:

• Extensive experience with managing complex projects in international settings
  
• Experience with implementing SAP Ariba Guided Buying
  
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or a related field
  
• Min. 3 years of experience with project management within procurement or supply chain (as project manager, consultant or similar)
  
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of key project management tools and methodologies
  
• Knowledge of change management theory, influencing techniques and coaching, and practical experience with these
  
• A well-organized and structured approach with the ability to navigate in a somewhat complex business environment and in somewhat complex assignments
  
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks within given assignments
  
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  
• Great communication skills and ability to prepare clear and concise presentations tailored to the target audience
  
• Experience with and capability of delivering training
  
• A agile, open-minded and curious approach
  
• Result-orientation and a pro-active mindset with commercial interest and flair
  
• Capability of managing multiple tasks with respect to deadlines and quality of work
  
• Capable of preparing, executing and completing complex assignments within procurement and with relevant cross-functional stakeholders
  
• Ability to speak and write fluently in English
  

You will be based in our office in Hørsholm or Østbirk – both Denmark.
You can expect to travel up to 20 days annually.
