Student Worker in Business Intelligence Department

We are currently looking for a positive and motivated candidate that can help our team deliver ad-hoc analysis, combine data from different sources and build & maintain a well-structured datamodel. We seek a technical minded person that has a good understanding of data structures, especially including knowledge of (SQL) databases, data modeling, reporting and visualizing data in Power BI.
You will play an important role in:

The MAN Student Network is a community made for students by students at MAN Energy Solutions Denmark. The network has the purpose of connecting students in Denmark with the benefit of establishing strong academic and social relationships across group departments, but also as an opportunity to expand the academic network, which ultimately may prove to provide the first full scale step toward a future career at MAN Energy Solutions.
The students within the network have the opportunity to provide recommendations and improvements and actively affect the concept of this network.

You will play an important role in:
- Building and maintaining Power BI data models and datasets/data pipelines
- Doing analysis based on Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft Analysis Services cubes and tabular.
- Collecting data from multiple sources and creating actionable results from them for end users, management and up to top management.
- Creating ad-hoc or standardized reports using Microsoft Power BI and communicating the results effectively with the appropriate visualizations.
- Helping users to make sense of the data by discovering business insights from the relevant results.
- Supporting business users from around the world or other fellow business intelligence analysts with issues, access requests and/or questions.
- You have good knowledge and experience working with SQL language and databases in general.
- You have experience with Power BI or other BI tools and want to bring your knowledge to the next level with being a Power BI administrator
- You are comfortable analyzing data with Microsoft Excel (filters, pivot tables, lookup formulas).
- You are an independent, motivated learner and a collaborative team player.
- You can make up from any gap in your knowledge rapidly by investigating, learning and asking more experienced colleagues (often other students).
- You keep an eye on the latest releases and are excited about implementing new features.
You are expected to work at least 15 hours per week.
