Overview:

• Defining and executing a category strategy: Risk Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Innovation and Productivity,
• Measuring and Improving Performance,
• Achieving Annual Plans and Delivering Productivity.

Responsibilities:

• In close collaboration with the Egypt GP Food Ingredient Lead & GP COE to
  • Implement category strategy, using systematic 7-Steps strategic sourcing approach.
  • Plan and monitor category annual and long-term strategic sourcing targets
  • Plan and monitor sourcing Productivity / Savings for the category (for the current year and over IBP).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives from procurement side for the category.
  • Evaluate & evolve sourcing strategy based on changing market conditions and provide inputs during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations.
  • Ensure implementation of sourcing strategy / plans, compliance monitored, and benefits tracked (in close collaboration with the Transactional Procurement Team) in line with the procurement policy & practices
  • Ensure full compliance to Commodity Playbooks.
• Participate and lead cross-functional category team, using RACI model.
• Manage category on a BU level and leverage from Pepsi Co’s scale in the region.
• Closely liaise with main business stakeholders in food plants.
• Sell category strategy to business stakeholders; one focal point to represent category internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers)
• Ensure implementation of best-in-class sourcing tools & digital platforms relevant to the category.
• Lead category negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers
• Manage and maintain the overall business relationship with the suppliers
• Track Seasoning supply market, share evolving category trends, monitor supplier performance and share benchmarking against industry / market standards.

Qualifications:

• 7 - 8 years of Strategic Sourcing experience in FMCG.
• Food Ingredients Sourcing Experience.
• Experience in using advanced sourcing methodologies/ tools.
• Experience in a regional procurement function/ company.
• Experience of procurement/ strategic sourcing in the Middle East & Africa.
• Skilled in managing a dispersed team of business stakeholders in different countries; strong selling skills.
• Bachelor’s degrees in Business or Engineering. Masters preferred.
• Multilingual and multinational experience preferred.
