Junior Controller

Bunge Finland Oy is seeking a Junior Controller with a strong work ethic and motivation to join our Finance team in Raisio, Finland. You will become responsible for maintaining financial reporting, internal controls, and industrial controlling. The role

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial reporting and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. You will also play a key role in coordinating month-end closing processes and implementing necessary changes to improve efficiency. Your attention to detail and analytical thinking skills will be crucial as you handle various financial activities, such as tax declarations, intercompany reconciliation, and property insurance valuation.
You'll be joining us at our Raisio plant office, where we focus on creating vegetable fats, Margarine especially. Here you will experience a hands-on, industrial setting with a dynamic, no-nonsense atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and being accountable of industrial controlling tasks - inventory, fixed assets & spare parts and plant operations
• Act as a substitute for the Senior Accounting Controller in her absence
• Provide finance and accounting support to Bunge Business Service Centers as the local contact
• Participate in month-end close activities including accruals, intercompany reconciliation, balance confirmations as well as prepare quarterly SEC packages for reporting. Have full responsibility for a part of the ledger processes.
• Participate and perform year-end closing activities and statutory GAAP reporting together with Senior Accounting Controller
• Participate and assist in Finnish taxation matters, including tax declarations, VAT, corporate income tax accruals and transfer pricing documentation
• Assist in audits (Finnish GAAP, tax and SOX) together with Senior Accounting Controller
• Run payment files and prepare controls and account reconciliations
• Assist with ad hoc financial requests and reporting

Requirements

• Degree in Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Controlling or Accounting (relevant internships also quality as work experience).
• Proficiency in Finnish and English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Experience with Statutory Finnish GAAP and US GAAP / IFRS is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office Tools, SAP (FI/CO), and/or other relevant financial software is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills
