The Associate Event Consultant plays a crucial role in consulting, developing, and executing event communication concepts that are aligned with Munich Re's strategic and business objectives. This position advises the business and central divisions on event communication strategy, storyline, and execution.


Your Job

• Communication concepts: Support the development and execution of cross-media communication concepts for events
• Agenda Creation: Collaborate with consultants and marketing business partners to create agendas for client and internal events
• Teamwork:
  • Work within project management processes to ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage external agencies that support the team to deliver the project requirements
• Event Planning:
  • Plan and implement all organizational aspects of events, including venue selection, theme development, entertainment and overall coordination.
  • You will travel to the event venues to oversee all organizational elements and ensure a successful event
• Budget Management: Manage event budgets to ensure they remain within approved limits
• Evaluation: Understand stakeholder needs to select effective event communication measures and evaluate performance after the event

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Master's degree in communications or other related field preferred
• At least 1-3 years of professional experience
• Planning skills, efficient, organized and able to provide practical, business-oriented solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English for all digital and analog formats
• Knowledge of communication trends, analytics and best practices in digital and traditional marketing and communications
• Creative, open to change, collaborative and people skills to communicate ideas quickly
• Positive, self-motivated with a growth mindset and high emotional intelligence
• IT affinity and ability to learn proprietary software programs
• Availability to travel to event locations
